Commentary: Trend for the year has been flat
in all categories. Previous charts have shown essentially the
same projected levels of sales for 6-8 months now. The largest
change in any market segment has been for the projection of homes
sold in
Madison County, which rose over the past two months from 68 to 72.
Inventories remain elevated in all segments,
as do list prices. Money CNN recently named greater Asheville
as a top 10 over valued market. Buyers are bashful, the most
common comment is "We don't want to be upside down in the house."
No one is in a hurry just yet to buy.
